As for us , edge will do fine. Simple mobile refill customer service is really bad, to say the least. But if you dont need help, this is a great service. Just wish there was a discount for more than 1 line of activation , although i saw on their website , a 2 for 1 sim card. $12.99 for 2 sims. not surte what you would do with the extra sim , but in my case it was sweet timing. I used them to activate the iphones for my wife and daughter. IS HSPA+21 considered 3G or 4G for SImple Mobile billing...I want to know if I should get the $40 or $50 plans. (I wouldnt delete Tmo APN - simple didnt even tell me Id have to choose APN; they told me I wouldn't -- but Im not into factory resetting phones and losing all my settings, apps, etc and having to manually restore them yet again)...The SM customer service so far has been poor. HOw much data to you use and have they ever throttled your or warned you,. Have you streamed video and music. They wont answer me if that is permissible. They just keep saying they can cancel you at any time if you 'degrade the network" What's great about it: Free unlimited text messages. What's not so great: Not working with international calls. It has unlimited text messages that work great, the price is good for one month of usage in the country. Not available for international calls on landlines or mobiles. HOLY COW! I called the customer service, someone answered who could hardly speak English and kept repeating the sentences that she memorized. But I was patient, you have to be patient and not expect fabulous customer service when you wanna save money. So was I. I patiently went through this for 40 valuable minutes of my day time, working through her ambiguous response and completely useless suggestions, but here is the best part... After all of these she could not resolve my issue, because apparently their system was DOWN! To my utmost patience I asked if she could call me back when the system is up, and the rest of the conversation is below - Agent: "We have a lot of customers" (I guess it means I cannot call you back) Me:"Would you please email me, when the system is back up?" Agent: "NO" (oh wow.. did I asked her for a date?) Me: "Ok! Then how do I know the system is up for service again?" *drumroll* she said:"Keep checking the website periodically"!!!!! .....at this point, I could not take this anymore. I hung up! Lesson: Paying $10-$20 per month more to big telcos are arguably $20 extra money wasted... paying $40 to these people is a wastage of $40. You do the math! BOught the SIM card from an external seller off of online. Very reasonably priced for the SIM card and the product was shipped super-fast. I have since changed my phone provider to Simple Mobile refill. Not hard to install nor set up at all. I had my number ported over from Virgin Mobile USA phone that I previously used. FYI, porting can take anything from 24-48 hrs to port ALL the data over, text included. So, don't panic if your texts are not received/sent the first 24-48 hours as I did !!
